Objectives

a. This is a drama about modern young people.

Young people today are lonely. They are starved for human connection. In other words, they feel a “hunger for love.” I would like for this project to explore how the main character Kogure Osamu attempts to satisfy that “hunger” — reckless, short-lived, and violent as this conduct may be. By casting Shoken, a child of the modern era, in the role of Kogure Osamu, I believe we can more fully and accurately paint a portrait of today’s youth. His affable smile and propensity to venture into any territory without hesitation are a perfect encapsulation of the present day.

b. The highlight of the drama will be the protagonist’s interesting personality.

The protagonist of this project has two polar opposite sides to his character at once. Sometimes he shows courage verging on recklessness; at other times, he’s a coward who runs away without a care for shame or appearances. Film and television heroes of the past were the embodiment of bravery and knew no fear. However, the hero of our project, like the ordinary viewer, does know fear.
